Lessons

All Arthur Murray studios worldwide teach dance using a method called the “three-fold system.” This means our individual students and couples learn through a combination of private lessons, group lessons and supervised practice sessions. All lesson packages include these three things.

Complimentary Introductory Lesson*

This 40-minute, one-on-one introductory lesson gives you the unique experience of a private lesson. You will learn basic steps for a variety of dances during the first half of the session; after that, your instructor will listen to your dance goals and offer suggestions for a dance program tailored specifically for you.
*Exclusions apply, cannot be combined with other offers

Private Lessons

Private lessons are important to refine your dancing skills. Individual, personalized attention will be given to improve your technique, musicality, dance vocabulary and partnering skills, which will give you the confidence to dance well, in any situation.

Group Lessons

In addition to your private dance lessons, group lessons (pictured above) are an important part of your overall package. In a group setting you will practice simple leading and following skills while changing partners. Group lessons are fun and you are exposed to a diverse group of styles and skill levels.

Supervised Practice Sessions

Supervised practice sessions, held once weekly, provide an opportunity for students to gain practical experience dancing on a crowded dance floor. We have light refreshments on hand, and it’s a great time for you to get to know and dance with other students and teachers.
